Meet Jennifer Phelan
Jennifer is the creator of JPPilates, a brand that centers around training, motivating and influencing clients through her in-studio, outdoor and online classes. Jennifer has been teaching in Boston for over fifteen years and is now one of the most sought after Pilates instructors in the city. In January of 2022 she opened the doors to the JPP Studio in Charlestown, MA. In this exclusive space she hosts private clients, small group classes as well as her virtual studio, JPP Online. She is a Power Pilates comprehensively certified instructor
Jennifer also offers a robust outdoor schedule at the Bunker Hill Monument. She teaches weekly group Pilates classes as well JPP Stroller Bootcamp, a signature workout she designed for moms and their little ones.
Best known for her high energy, sold out classes and annual free outdoor events, Jennifer has shared her passion for Pilates with thousands of Bostonians. Recognized for setting the Boston scene 'on fire' with her innovative work, Bostinno named Jennifer one of 50 Bostonians On Fire in 2013.
Jennifer is the creator of her own workout JPPilates Fusion. Named "Best Exercise Class in Boston" by the Improper Bostonian Magazine, this popular class blends classical mat Pilates with Jennifer's energetic core sequencing and music. This sweaty, intense workout is the heart of Jennifer's methodology and has proven to challenge and deliver results to every level of dedicated client.
When working with Jennifer no two sessions are ever the same. You can expect motivating and creative exercises, tailored to your individual goals and needs.
Jennifer is also a mother to her two young sons. Recognizing the challenges that moms face when it comes to creating the time and energy to workout, Jennifer has dedicated herself to being a positive role model and influencer.
Jennifer's mission is to help make “feel good” movement accessible and attainable. She believes that everyone deserves to feel their best, no matter what stage of life they are in.
GROUP CLASSES
Group classes are one of the most motivating and fun ways to workout. Nothing can replace the feeling of an in person community, set to music and movement.
Your body and mind will be challenged with Jennifer's high energy sequencing in a supportive and positive setting. Jennifer focuses on ensuring that every class consistently challenges her students to feel strong and empowered. Jennifer's teaching style consists of a powerful emphasis on form and alignment, ensuring her students are working in a mindful and safe way. As a result her students often feel stronger in a matter of just a few workouts.
Jennifer's classes are more than just a set of core based exercises, they are an experience that leaves students motivated, inspired and coming back week after week for more.
ONLINE
Bring JPP into your home with a monthly subscription. You can choose from weekly livestream classes or recorded workouts in the video library. All monthly subscribers have unlimited access to both livestreams and recorded classes.
IN-STUDIO
The JPP Studio is a private and nurturing space where you can work in person with Jennifer. Choose from a menu of private instruction, duet sessions (2 clients), semi-private sessions (4-5 clients) or join a weekly drop-in studio class. All classes have a capacity of 5 clients which offers the most exclusive training in a group class setting. JPP Studio is located at 87 Warren Street in Charlestown, MA.
